We Need To Be In The Right Place At The Right Time

“Then Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood;
…And he cast for it four rings of gold
to be set in its four corners:
two rings on one side, and two rings
on the other side of it…”
Exodus 37:1, 3
Why the rings and poles? Because as the children of Israel followed the Lord from place to place as he led them, they were to bring the Tabernacle with them.
What is the purpose of the Tabernacle in the first place? It was the place where God would meet with man. But the man had to be in the right place at the right time for this to happen.
“IN EVERY PLACE WHERE I RECORD MY NAME
I will come to you, and I will bless you.”
Exodus 20:24
Throughout our lives, there are people we are to meet, people we will minister to and people who will minister to us. That can’t happen unless we’re at the right place at the right time. Therefore it’s vitally important to follow the Lord’s leading as he moves us into position to serve him. There will be times when his leading might be uncomfortable, but those whose hearts are surrendered to him will not resist or refuse his leading.
When the Lord leads you to a move you really don’t want to make, always remember that there will be a very specific reason for it, and if you knew what it was you would do it gladly. God doesn’t usually reveal his purpose to us so yes, we follow the Lord in blind faith sometimes, but we go knowing that the purpose of God will yield eternal results. Be glad therefore, for the great privilege we have of serving the most high God. Every act of faith at the Lord’s direction will produce an eternal outcome.
