God Authored Your Unique Personality

“For this is the love of God,
that we keep his commandments.
And his commandments
are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:1
“His commandments are not burdensome…”
Some stay away from God because they fear what walking with the Lord will entail. Oh if only they knew…
God has made you a totally unique individual. He is the author of your DNA. He has placed within you the basic ways you’re inclined, the kinds of things you like, the unique talents you enjoy, every part of your basic personality is his design in you. I say ‘basic,’ because obviously you can add evil to those interests and corrupt the base that God has established in you.
If God has authored you with a unique makeup, it follows that God formed you with purpose. One of the most important things you can do in life is to find out what your purpose is, and how to go about fulfilling it. That will require spending TIME seeking from him the answers to those questions. Take TIME to go before the Lord and ask him to show you his plan for your life and the call that is upon you. He said “many are called, but few are chosen.” That implies that he will not deny you the right to refuse your call.
As someone once said: “Only I can fulfill my mission, only my mission can fulfill me.”
