All The Prophets Wrote About Him

“To him all the prophets witness
that, through his name,
whoever believes in him
will receive remission of sins.”
Acts 10:43
From Genesis and on throughout the Old Testament, the prophets have portrayed Jesus Christ in every book of the Bible. It’s a worthwhile study to take a look at the prophecies of the coming Messiah, and the “types,” which portray him.
A “type” is a picture in the Old Testament shown in a story which portrays the mission of Christ. For example, Abraham brought his beloved son up Mount Moriah to sacrifice him. His son bore the wood on his shoulders. What a picture of the Father providing his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, the son perfectly willing to carry out the Father’s will as he bore the Cross upon his shoulders as they went up on that same mount, to Calvary. This type was written hundreds of years before Christ was born.
Another is the story of Joseph being sold by his brothers. Joseph was away and thought dead for a long period of time, only to become the means of saving his brothers when he was made the ruler in Egypt and provided for them the means of sustenance during a famine, saving them from death. Jesus Christ has been “gone” a long time, but he is the supreme leader, the King of kings and Lord of lords, and in him is eternal salvation.
There are many, MANY more, the Bible is full of them, and even this alone would be proof enough of the veracity of the Scriptures. The Bible is about Jesus Christ from Genesis all the way through to Revelation.
Do a search on “Bible prophecies of Messiah,” and “Types of Christ in the Bible.” You’ll be amazed.
