Are You Bored With God’s Word – Itching For Something New?

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever;
do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines.”
Hebrews 13:8-9
There are people who are always looking for something new. They aren’t content with the Word of God, they’re bored with it, they have ears itching to hear something new and exciting. That can be the attitude that leads them right into deception.
“…because they have itching ears,
they will heap up for themselves teachers,
and they will turn their ears away from the truth,
and be turned aside to fables.”
2nd Timothy 4:3-4
The Word of God is his complete manufacturer’s manual, his entire instruction for mankind, his finished revelation to us of who he is, who we are, and what he desires of us. We don’t need to add to it, and beware lest anyone take away from it. It’s not going to change with the times nor is it concerned with what is called “modern.” If it is “old fashioned” now, then it was from the beginning, because it does not change to suit the changing conditions of life.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
He is enough! Stay fixated on HIM!
