“Do not be unequally yoked together
with unbelievers,
for what fellowship has righteousness
with lawlessness?
And what communion has light
with darkness?”
2nd Corinthians 6:14

The company we keep – is it important? Don’t think in your pride that you will be unaffected if you’re yoked with unbelievers. Sin will take you much farther than you expected and much farther than you ever wanted to go. Some think they might bring the unbelievers around to righteousness, but more often the opposite happens, they will bring evil influence upon you. Don’t think it can’t happen to you. Don’t put God to the test.

vs 17:
“Therefore, come out from among them
and be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
and I will receive you.”

Hear the Word of the Lord:

“Enter by the narrow gate,
for wide is the gate and broad is the way
THAT LEADS TO DESTRUCTION,
and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way
which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Matthew 7:13-14

The world can’t walk your way, it isn’t even possible for them because they don’t have the Spirit of God within. And you can’t walk their way because it will lead to destruction. That’s why the Lord commands, “COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM.” That’s why he says, “be separate.” It may be a very difficult and painful thing to do, but do it you must. Don’t put God to the test.
