It Changes Everything

“But what things were gain to me,
these I have counted loss for Christ.
Yet indeed I also count all things loss,
for the excellence of the knowledge
of Christ Jesus my Lord,
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things,
and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ…”
Philippians 3:7-8

When a person receives the born-again experience, he receives a totally new life in Christ. All that he did before, all that he achieved by his own abilities in the past, become worthless in comparison to the things that the Lord produces in his new life in Christ. He will notice that his desires change, his interests change, his motives change, not because they “should” but because the life within has changed. The new birth changes everything.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
HE IS A NEW CREATION;
old things have passed away,
behold, all things have become new.”
2nd Corinthians 5:17

If you have not been born again, ask to be. It requires that you surrender your will and your life to Jesus Christ, your Creator, trusting that he will take over and make your life worth living. And when he does, he also takes on all responsibility for you. Nothing will touch you except what he deems necessary to bring you to maturity, to bring you to fulfilling his plan for your life.

His ways are not our ways, and following Jesus Christ is a grand adventure, not like anything you’ve ever before experienced. Let him who created you bring about his perfect will designed only for you, a plan unique to you alone. You will be amazed. AND …the rewards are for all eternity.
