God Is Near To You In Your Distress

“Plead my cause, O Lord,
with those who strive with me;
fight against those who fight against me.
Take hold of shield and buckler,
and stand up for my help.
Also draw out the spear,
and stop those who pursue me.
Say to my soul, ‘I am your salvation.’”
Psalm 35:1-3
Never think that you’re alone when troubles come upon you. Do not fear because you think you don’t have the strength to prevail against your enemy. It’s not up to you, it’s up to the Lord who is your defense.
Call upon the Lord in your distress, put your situation in his hands and rest in confidence that he will sustain you and defend you. But it takes patience. Be patient and wait for him to intervene. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see results immediately. Just remember, God is faithful.
“The Lord is near to all who call upon him,
to all who call upon him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.
The Lord preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.”
Psalm 145:18-20
Stand on these promises and be patient. You WILL see the faithfulness of God.
