Truth Can Be Costly

“…seek the Lord your God,
and you will find him if you seek him
with all your heart and with all your soul.”
Deuteronomy 4:29

One has to make the decision whether to go along with the tradition they grew up with – OR – to seek after truth no matter how costly. Those who hold truth in high esteem will seek the Lord with all their heart and soul – and they will find him. But it’s often costly:

“Therefore know this day,
and consider it in your heart,
that the Lord himself is God
in heaven above and on the earth beneath;
there is NO OTHER.”
Deuteronomy 4:29, 39

The truth: THERE IS NO OTHER. One will have to turn from any “other.”

Allah is NOT God. Buddha is NOT God. The Hindu gods are NOT gods.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is the only God, there is NO OTHER.

This will never be “politically correct.” It wasn’t meant to be. It’s the truth.

“God is Spirit, and those who worship him
must worship in spirit and TRUTH.”
John 4:24

“…the true worshipers will worship the Father
in spirit and TRUTH; for the Father is seeking such
to worship him.
John 4:23

To follow Jesus Christ in TRUTH will be costly because the world stands opposed. Be willing to take up your cross and follow him.

“And whoever does not bear his cross
and come after me cannot be my disciple.
For which of you, intending to build a tower,
does not sit down first and count the cost…”
Luke 14:27-28

Keep in mind: on a yardstick, life here is 1/16 of an inch. The rest is eternity.
