We Reap What We Sow

“I have sinned, and perverted what was right,
and it did not profit me.”
Job 33:27
“Each one is tempted when he is drawn away
by his own lust and enticed.
Then, when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin;
and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.”
James 1:15
The reason people don’t connect these dots is that the consequences usually don’t come right after the sin. The saying, “what goes around comes around” has an element of truth in it. Eventually the end of sin, the destruction, will surely come.
“Be not deceived, God is not mocked;
for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.”
Galatians 6:7
It isn’t karma. Karma is a false belief that people will be reincarnated until they pay off all their evil deeds and get it right. This a Hindu belief and it’s heresy. We only die ONCE.
“…it is appointed for men to die ONCE,
but after this the judgment,
so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many.”
Hebrews 9:27-28
Karma is a counterfeit to the truth of God’s Word. God’s Word says man will reap what he sows, but will only die once.
If you gossip, you will be gossiped about. If you lie, you will be lied about. If you steal, you will be stolen from.
On the other hand, reap from these promises:
“Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God.”
Matthew 5:7-9
Choose wisely how you conduct your life, for there are spiritual principles connected to all that we do.
