Don’t Miss It

“By faith Moses, when he
became of age, refused to be called
the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,
choosing rather to suffer affliction
with the people of God
than to enjoy the passing pleasures
of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ
greater riches than the treasures in Egypt;
for he looked to the reward.
Hebrews 11:24-26
For he looked to the reward…
Moses was raised by the Pharaoh’s daughter and was heir to the throne. He was trained in all the wisdom, knowledge and skill of Egypt. He could have had it all. But instead, he took up the call of God and surrendered to Him, and suffered all the trials and tribulations that occurred as he followed God’s will for his life.
If your goal is wealth and success, you might miss God’s will for your life. You are a unique individual with a unique purpose. The most important thing you can do in life is to seek God to find out what his purpose is for your life and then embrace it. It might involve some sacrifice. Consider Moses, giving up being heir to Pharaoh’s throne. It might be lowly. But the reward is …forever.
Don’t stand before God on your last day and find out that you missed what could have been.
