Pray Instead For Grace To Cooperate

“…we ourselves boast of you
among the churches of God for your patience
and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations
that you endure, which is manifest evidence
of the righteous judgment of God,
that you may be counted worthy
of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer…”
2nd Thessalonians 1:4-5
“The Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer…”
Contrary to what some preach, we are not to expect our lives here to be adorned with all manner of “prosperity” and ease. Contrary to what some teach, we don’t get our “best life now.” No, the Scriptures clearly show us that suffering and persecution will accompany anyone who truly belongs to the Lord. These sufferings are the very things that God will use to mature us as we are conformed to the image of Christ and made fit vessels for his service. They are a very necessary part of our walk with the Lord.
“We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”
Acts 14:22
Rather than pray that your trials go away, pray instead for GRACE TO COOPERATE with the Lord in whatever he is desiring to work out in you.
The results are forever. The rewards eternal.
