“You, Lord, in the beginning
laid the foundation of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will perish, but you remain;
and they will all grow old like a garment;
like a cloak you will fold them up,
and they will be changed.
But you are the same, and your years will not fail.”
Hebrews 1:10-12

They say death and taxes are the only things that you can be sure of. No, they will pass away too. Only God remains, only he never changes. And his Word will never change. It will not conform to society, it will never be “old fashioned.” In whatever way the world or society changes, the Word of God will not, it endures forever.

“Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will by no means pass away.”
Matthew 24:35

God places his Word even above his Name:

“For you have magnified your Word above all your Name.”
Psalm 138:2

The world WILL change, but God’s Word is eternal. It will never change.

“For I am the Lord, I do not change;”
Malachi 3:6
