How Can All Things Work Out For My Good?

“And we know that all things work together for good
to those who love God,
to those who are the called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28

Do you believe this promise? It’s the truth of God’s Word, but it’s not for everyone. Many quote this verse but leave out the last part:

This is a promise “to those who love God,” to those called for his purposes. For those – it’s a guarantee. He WILL work it all out for good and you can be sure of that, no matter how bad it looks at any time.

This is something that can only be known after walking with the Lord for a long time. I remember times in my walk with him that there was no way on earth I could believe that the circumstances I was in could possibly be worked out for the good.

Well they were. Some of the hardest things were the most freeing and productive, changing everything, changes beyond what I could ever have imagined.

What God says is true.

If you’re a believer going through something that you can’t possibly imagine could be worked together for good, just wait. You’ll eventually see, and marvel. Trust the Lord. His plan for your life is perfect, if only you’ll cooperate. Trust him. He is worthy of your trust.
