A Prophecy More Than 2500 Years Old

“But do not fear, O my servant Jacob,
and do not be dismayed, O Israel,
for behold, I will save you from afar,
and your offspring from the land of their captivity;
Jacob shall return, have rest and be at ease;
no one shall make him afraid.”
Jeremiah 46:27
Part of this prophecy has been fulfilled. Jacob (Israel) has returned to her land and God has greatly prospered them. The fulfillment of this prophecy and many others like it signals “the last days,” as God who had banished them to every country on earth in 70 A.D. is now regathering them back to the land of their fathers, as he promised.
It’s just awesome, the privilege of seeing a prophecy more than 2,500 years old being fulfilled right before our eyes!
There is yet to be fulfilled the part which says, “no one shall make him afraid.” Right now, Israel is surrounded on all sides by terrorist enemies who vow publicly to destroy her. On the north is Hezbollah in Lebanon. On the northeast is Syria. On the direct east is Jordan. On the south is Gaza. Israel is surrounded.
The story of Israel has always been a “David and Goliath” story. Her enemies have always been huge and powerful, but that’s just it! It is the glory of God to bring victory to little Israel!
We are yet to see the staggering example of this as the “Palestinian” enemies are destroyed. My guess is that this is the next big thing on the agenda, and will probably result in the liberation of the Temple Mount and the rebuilding of the Temple.
“Howl, O gate, cry, O city;
all you of Palestina, are dissolved.”
Isaiah 14:31
Just watch!
