Old Testament References To The Son Of God

There are several “Old Testament” references to the SON of God:

“Who has ascended into heaven, or descended?
Who has gathered the wind in his fists?
Who has bound the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his Son’s name,
If you know?”
Proverbs 30:4

Yes – who is the SON of the God who established all the ends of the earth?

In another passage:

“Kiss the Son lest he be angry,
and you perish in the way,
when his wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.”
Psalm 2:12

Who is the SON in whom we are to put our trust?

“For unto us a Child is born,
unto us a Son is given;
and the government will be upon his shoulder.
And his name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6

This SON is called “mighty God,” and “everlasting Father.” There is only one Son who is both God and the everlasting Father.

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
yet out of you shall come forth to me
the One to be Ruler in Israel,
whose goings forth are from of old,
from everlasting.”
Micah 5:2

The testimony of the Old Testament showed that he who was born in Bethlehem is the one who is from eternity.

There was enough testimony in the Old Testament that scholars could have realized who this Son is. One of the most well-known passages about Christ in the Old Testament is Isaiah 53. Not only did they reject him, but they removed that passage from the daily readings in the synagogues. They rejected him, but we put all our trust in him, and as such, we are the greatly blessed.
