The Fear Of The Lord – Is The BEGINNING Of Wisdom

What IS wisdom…?
Your counselors will tell you that your goal is “self esteem.” Your professors will tell you to question everything. They go further than that, they “suggest” ideas that are of the world and contrary to the truth of God. If you’re vulnerable and hurting, you’ll tend to believe them. False religion will present you with whatever agenda they’re fostering to make you feel good. The world will tell you “whatever feels good, do it.”
But …God calls it foolishness.
“For the wisdom of this world
is foolishness with God.”
1st Corinthians 3:19
God tells you:
“The fear of the Lord is the BEGINNING of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Proverbs 9:10
“Forsake foolishness and live;
and go in the way of understanding.”
Proverbs 9:6
One day in my prayer time this question was posed to my heart: “How would you define wisdom?”
I thought long and hard and couldn’t come up with an answer. So I asked, “Lord, how WOULD you?”
“Wisdom is the ability to see a thing from God’s perspective.”
The wisdom of the world will always be foolishness. If you want truth, seek HIM for wisdom.
