“Now therefore listen to me, children,
for blessed are those who keep my ways.
Hear instruction and be wise
and do not disdain it.
Blessed is the man who listens to me…”
Proverbs 8:32-34

Yes, blessed IS the one who listens to Wisdom. Oftentimes wisdom is difficult. It’s not always the more pleasant way – but it IS the most successful way.

“Wisdom is the principal thing,
therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting,
get understanding.”
Proverbs 4:7

God teaches us the right way, because he WANTS to bless us. He desires that we walk in it because he wants the very best for us. Oftentimes his way will oppose our way, and many times it will demand our response when it makes no sense, but for those who patiently choose his way there will be great blessing, joy, and success.

When we choose to do it our way, sometimes we are unaware that the way we choose will lead to disaster:

“There is a way that seems right to a man
but its end is the way of death.”
Proverbs 14:12

Choose his way no matter what. God is worthy of your trust.

“Show me YOUR ways, O Lord,
teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation,
on you I wait all the day.”
Psalm 25:4-5
