“And entering the tomb, they saw
a young man clothed in a long white robe
sitting on the right side;
and they were alarmed. But he said to them,
“Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth,
who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here.”
Mark 16: 5-6

A testimony:

I went into that tomb one day, hesitant, knowing this was a place most sacred. It was a bit dark in there, but I could see the slab where the body of my Lord had been placed.

I stood there in wonder, in awe, realizing the magnitude of this place, trying to picture that day when they placed the dead body of my Lord here, on this slab. Then they had rolled the huge stone to close and seal the chamber.

As I stood there pondering this, suddenly something came over me. I felt a joy so deep and so great that it made me fearful, not knowing what was happening to me. I tingled all over as depths of joy flooded me.

Then I heard this, “You are not in the place of death, you are in the place of the RESURRECTION!”

There I was, standing in the place where the power of God had burst forth through that body and raised him up in glorious victory.

And I witness that the tomb is empty.
