“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves such as have a contrite spirit.”
Psalm 34:18

Do you have a broken heart? Do you not know which way to turn, what to do? The Lord is waiting to receive you. He soothes the brokenhearted, and comforts those who turn to him in grief. He will show you what to do, and he will guide your steps if you but surrender it to him.

When the brokenhearted turn to Jesus Christ he takes care of them as though they were in the intensive care unit. If you feel like the light has gone out of you, he will hold you and preserve what little light you have.

“A bruised reed he will not break,
and smoking flax he will not quench…”
Matthew 12:20

Don’t put your trust in man, and don’t put your trust in yourself. The Lord invites you to put your trust in the only one who knows the whole story and who knows the thoughts of your heart. You can trust him, he created you. When you are at the end of your strength, he will sustain you. If you have sin, confess it to him and he will forgive you and make you clean.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls;
for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus Christ came into this world to undo the works of the devil.

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might undo the works of the devil.”
1st John 3:8

Turn to him and be healed.
