Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
You May Not See Him In The Darkness – But He Is There

“God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
even though the earth be removed,
and though the mountains be carried
into the midst of the sea;
though its waters roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with its swelling.”
Psalm 46:1-3
There is no place, no circumstance, in which God cannot be reached. He truly is your refuge and strength, no matter what. He knows your every thought, your every motive, he understands the cries of your heart that are so deep that they cannot be put into words.
“Where can I go from your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, you are there;
If I make my bed in she’ol, behold, you are there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.”
Psalm 139:7-10
When the days are dark and you feel so alone, he is there. When you just don’t know what to do, he is there. Though you may FEEL that he isn’t, yet he IS. Take comfort in the fact that he is ALWAYS with you, and perhaps more importantly, he is most close when you feel him least.
When you look back upon your life, you will see his footprints in the sand right along yours. When you only see one set of footprints, that is where he carried you.
