Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
Is Your Idea of God Too Small?

“His lightnings light the world;
the earth sees and trembles.
The mountains melt like wax
at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
The heavens declare his righteousness,
and all the peoples see his glory.”
Psalm 97:4-6
Many have an inadequate picture of the Lord in their minds. To many, he’s just there. Period. No more.
Oh that mankind would be given to know the majesty of God, the God before whom the mountains melt like wax. He breathes out galaxies and keeps all together in its right place. He is far greater than our minds imagine.
“…what may be known of God is manifest in them,
for God has shown it to them.
For since the creation of the world
his invisible attributes are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead,
so that they are without excuse…”
Romans 1:19-20
When you look at the stars, think of the vastness of them, for each one is a sun like our sun. God is the creator, and all of nature declares his glory, from the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly, to the hugeness of the universe, it is all his handiwork.
You started out as a single cell too small for the human eye to see; imagine the miracle of bringing that cell to become a human being with sight and hearing and taste, one who can speak and sing and think. Oh bring to him your praise and thanksgiving, stand in awe before him, for great is the Lord and greatly to be praised!
Here is a presentation that demonstrates God’s greatness and his glory. Watch it and then watch it again, and marvel at the greatness and wonder of God.
