“Beware of the scribes,
who desire to go around in long robes,
love greetings in the marketplaces,
the best seats in the synagogues,
and the best places at feasts,
who devour widows’ houses,
and for a pretense make long prayers.
These will receive greater condemnation.”

Who does this remind you of?

The “wolves in sheep’s clothing” are all about themselves. They love the notoriety, they love to be honored. They make their living by “devouring widow’s houses.” How apt this is for today – as widows send their money to these big-name “tv evangelists” who live a lavish lifestyle and get around in private jets. They use the holy Scriptures to back up their “it’s all about you” message. These men and women are CORRUPT.

“For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if HIS MINISTERS ALSO
TRANSFORM THEMSELVES INTO MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
whose end will be according to their works.”
2nd Corinthians 11:14-15

But be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water. Some internationally-known Bible teachers are honest and true. How can you tell the difference? BY THEIR MESSAGE. The wolves in sheep’s clothing will bring messages on how to be happy, how to improve yourself, how to prosper. It will be all about positive speaking and success.

The true ministers of Christ on the other hand, will preach the message of the Cross of Jesus Christ. It will be all about HIM and nothing about YOU, except how to pick up your cross daily and follow Christ.
