“I will deliver you from the Jewish people,
as well as from the Gentiles,
to whom I now send you, to open their eyes,
and to turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan unto God…”
Acts 26:17-18

The born-again experience totally transforms a life, opening one’s eyes to the deception with which he/she had been deceived through living in the precepts of this world. The born-again experience brings the heart out of darkness into light, transferring the person out of the kingdom of Satan into the Kingdom of God, granting forgiveness of sins and an eternity to come. These changes do not come through the efforts of the newly born-again person, it is the Spirit of God working within the heart. He changes everything. It is a new life. The old has passed, the new begins.

Do not fear it. Embrace it. Ask for it.

“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls,
FOR MY YOKE IS EASY AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT.”
Matthew 11:28-30

Pray with me:

Father, I need a new life. I’ve made a mess of things on my own. I’m ready to surrender myself and my life to you, that you may work out the wonder of the born-again transformation in me. I’ve not been able to do it myself. I confess that I am a sinner. I need your salvation. Please bring me into the new life you offer and change me, for you alone can. I surrender myself and my life to you, Lord Jesus, I surrender all to you, all. Show me the way, reveal to me the truth, create in me new life.
