Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet

Light For Those Who Sit In Darkness

“…to grant us that we,
BEING DELIVERED from the hand of our enemies,
might serve him without fear,
in holiness and righteousness before him
all the days of our life.”
Luke 1:74-75

When a person becomes born again, the Lord begins a work in that person of delivering him/her from their enemies. He validates their experience with the clear manifestation of his presence in their lives, delivering them, healing them, and changing them radically. This is an unfolding process that continues for the rest of their lives, but those first deliverances are precious events that the believer will always remember and cherish. They so touch him/her that by remembering them and cherishing them they will be motivated to walk in holiness and righteousness for the rest of their lives.

He has come to change lives. He has come to bring hope and gladness to those who have lived in darkness. As long as they stay IN HIM, he will guide their feet in the paths of righteousness, and they will come to know the peace that goes beyond understanding.

vs 79:
“To give light to those who sit in darkness
and the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Blessed is the man who has found the source of joy and peace.

“Show me your ways, O Lord,
teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation,
on you do I wait all the day.”
Psalm 25:4-5

Pray it. Pray it. Pray it!
