Be Broken – Not Ground To Powder

“The stone which the builders rejected
has become the chief cornerstone.
Whoever falls on that stone will be broken;
but on whomever it falls,
it will grind him to powder.”
Luke 20:17-18
Jesus is the stone the builders rejected, he is the rock of our salvation, and whoever comes to him will be broken.
Why?
Because we were born in sin, into a world of sin, and we are corrupt. When we surrender our lives to Christ he begins a work of transformation in us, and that is a very serious work. It will require breaking down walls and replacing the foundation. In this process one is broken. Yes broken. But …remade. He will take our shack and make it a palace fit for the King.
Whoever rejects him or ignores him however, will be the one on whom the rock will fall, and he will be done in. He will be destroyed, ground to powder because he rejected the One who could remake his life. He refused to surrender to him.
The choice is ours. If we receive him, we will have a brand new start. He will make everything new.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new.”
2nd Corinthians 5:17
Pray this:
Father, my foundation is all cracked. In fear of the truth I have put up walls between you and me. I know I am a sinner, and as time goes on things only get worse. I ask you to purchase this shack, my corrupt self, and transform me into a palace fit for your Holy Spirit to dwell in. Lord, I joyfully surrender all to you.
“Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary,
pure and holy, tried and true
and with thanksgiving,
I’ll be a living sanctuary, for you.”
