Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
If He Comes In The Darkness Will You Have Enough Light

“But the path of the just is like the shining sun,
that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”
Proverbs 4:18
We live in a world of darkness, a fallen world, with fallen people, a fallen society. But God calls people out of the world to bring them into light. When a person is born again he is born into the kingdom of light and IT CHANGES EVERYTHING.
I remember the day I was born again – it was as though someone turned on the light because suddenly I could see. Everything changed. I found myself becoming more and more disinterested in the things that I loved before, and without effort – became interested in things that I never before cared about. The Spirit of God entering a person’s life changes everything. It’s the difference between night and day, darkness and light.
But while the believer lives in the darkness of this world, that light must be maintained. Oil must be provided daily to the lamp lest the wick burn out. Forces of darkness seek to overcome the light, therefore one must be ever watchful for the “wiles of the devil” who constantly seeks to snuff out the light in the believer.
Staying in the light requires daily application of the oil, feeding in the Word of God, and a watchful diligence to ward off the efforts of the enemy who never ceases in his determination to snuff out that light. As long as one feeds daily in the Word of God, the light will be maintained. Should he part from it, he become easy prey for the enemy. Staying in the light requires persistence, it requires diligence.
vs 23:
“KEEP YOUR HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE,
for out of it spring the issues of life.”
When he comes in the darkness, will you have enough light? Half of the waiting virgins did not.
