Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet

Glorify God In All He Has Done For You

“But let all those rejoice who put their trust in you;
let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them;
let those also who love your Name be joyful in you.”
Psalm 5:11

Unbelievers think believers live a life of restriction, stress and sorrow. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Every believer has many stories to tell of the glorious intervention of the Lord in their lives, changing things, creating new stories which bring inexpressible joy. Believers are story tellers. Their greatest joy is in telling others the wonderful experiences the Lord brings into their lives, showing his presence with them in all they do. Ask any born-again person, and be prepared to hear story after story of the wonderful interventions of God in their lives.

These are the stories that keep a person going when trials come, because believers know they are NEVER alone, their Lord is always with them, reminding them of the wonderful stories they have already experienced which will strengthen and encourage them and give them hope in time of need.

“When I remember you on my bed,
I meditate on you in the night watches.
Because you have been my help,
therefore in the shadow of your wings I will rejoice.”
Psalm 63:6-7

If you are a believer, think back over your walk with the Lord and bring to mind the stories he created in your life, incidents of guidance and direction, of protection, of provision, of changes in circumstance that could only have been brought about by God himself.

As we bring these things back to mind, it will encourage us to be ever watchful for those times when the God of the universe comes into our lives in a very real way.

Share those stories with others; it will both give glory to God, and encourage those who need encouragement.

“…that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble,
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2nd Corinthians 1:4
