Hell

One cannot present the whole Gospel and leave out the unpleasant parts.

Hell
“The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him,
but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed!
It would have been good for that man if he had never been born.”
Mark 14:21
The context is the last supper, the Passover seder the Lord was celebrating with the disciples just before his death. Here he reveals to them that one of them is going to betray him. This is where he says of Judas, “It would have been good for that man if he had never been born.”
In making such a strong statement, Jesus is making and underlining and putting exclamation marks all around it. It would have been better if this man had never been born. This leads to the conclusion that hell is so terrible that it would have been better for ANYONE to have never been born, who knows the Gospel but rejects the Lord.
Many religions teach that there is no hell. And that is heresy. References to hell are mentioned multiple times in the Scriptures. Jesus himself spoke more of hell than he did of heaven. Anyone rejecting Christ will spend eternity there.
“And fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the soul;
but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Matthew 10:28
“And shall cast them into the furnace of fire;
there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 13:50
“In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns
gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.
They serve AS AN EXAMPLE of those
who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.”
Jude 1:7
Whatever your reason for resisting the Lord, know this: it is not worth it. Eternity is a very long time to spend in regret.
