Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet

How He Has Orchestrated It All

“O Lord, how manifold are your works!
In wisdom you have made them all.
The earth is full of your creatures,
this great and wide sea,
in which are innumerable teeming things,
living things both small and great.”
Psalm 104:24-25

I love to look at the animals and observe the “instinct” God has placed in each of them. HOW does the salmon know to swim upstream to the place where it was spawned? HOW does the squirrel know to forage and store up food for the winter? Indeed, HOW does the squirrel know that there will BE a winter? HOW does the bear know to spend the winter in hibernation? HOW do the birds know to migrate south for the winter? HOW do they know how to fly in formation? Indeed, what IS instinct? Who Can explain it?

Vs 10-13
“He sends the springs into the valleys,
they flow among the hills;
they give drink to every beast of the field;
the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
By them the birds of the heavens have their home;
they sing among the branches.
He waters the hills from his upper chambers.
The earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works!”

How can one explain the ecology of the earth? What a wonder to observe how the Lord has provided springs of water to satisfy the earth and to bring forth food from the ground!

Vs 14:
“He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,
and vegetation for the service of man,
that he may bring forth food from the earth…”

If one takes time to consider all these things, how cannot the heart swell in adoration to the One who created it all!
