Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
Joy Comes In The Morning

“For since the beginning of the world
men have not heard nor perceived by the ear,
nor has the eye seen any God besides you,
WHO ACTS FOR THE ONE WHO WAITS FOR HIM.”
Isaiah 64:4
Are you discouraged? Have you prayed for a long time with no seeming answer? Are you sick at heart, weary, heavy-laden, worn out?
There is a God in heaven who has seen your every tear. Isaiah 63:9 says, “In all their affliction, HE was afflicted.” He knows because he is afflicted with you in your affliction, and he cares more than you have any idea. It’s sort of like the parent disciplining his child and saying, “This is going to hurt me more than it hurts you,” nevertheless, it must be done for the change and growth needed.
God has a plan for your life, a plan formed for you before you ever came into the world. He has purpose for you, and he knows what is needed to grow you to the place of maturity. It takes time, and it takes afflictions because we don’t grow when all is well. In fact, when all is well many forget their God. Submit to his workings in your life, that he may bring forth his purposes for you. Trials are not random, God chooses our afflictions because they have specific purpose.
Waiting in affliction is the most difficult thing a follower of Jesus Christ will do. It seems as though the trial will go on forever …but it won’t. It will accomplish God’s purpose for your life, and afterwards there will be a huge blessing poured out upon you. After Job’s trial, God returned to him DOUBLE of all that he lost.
Wait on the Lord with a right heart, knowing God loves you and he is faithful.
“Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning,”
Psalm 30:5
