Choose Carefully Whom You Turn To

“Blessed is the man who walks not
in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor stands in the path of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and in his law he meditates day and night.”
Psalm 1:1-2
Books could be written on this one passage. When you have a problem, do you seek the counsel of the ungodly? Is your circle of friends “the scornful?” Or – do you make the Word of God the foundation of your life?
The wisdom of the world is foolishness with God (1st Corinthians 3:19). IF you understand that, then don’t put your trust in “the wisdom of the world,” but choose to put your trust in the Lord. He made you. He knows every single detail of your makeup and your life. He configured your DNA. Let the one who created you become the one you trust.
vs 3:
“He shall be like a tree transplanted
by the rivers of water,
that brings forth its fruit in its season,
whose leaf also shall not wither;
and whatever he does shall prosper.”
When you walk with the Lord in complete faith, your life will succeed in the purpose God meant for it.
vs 6:
“For the Lord knows the way of the righteous.
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
It’s a choice we all have to make. And it will determine our future.
